Dear Arianna,
You are 2 months old today, and you have grown a ton! We took you to
the doctor today and you weighed 11lbs 10oz and were 23.3 inches long.
You have started to smile and play with us, especially your daddy. He
discovered that you love to play peek-a-boo with your burp rags and giggle when he kisses you. We had a fun Valentines Day.
Your Grandpa Schoenfeldt sent you flowers and your Grandma Schoenfeldt
sent you pretty outfits! Grandma and Grandpa Petersen love to play and
snuggle with you, along with all your cousins!
This month we made a visit
to see your great-grandma Schoenfeldt, and you got to see a bunch of
your other cousins. We also made a visit to St. Louis and you were left
for the first time to be watched by your wonderful Aunt Skylar so we
could go to the temple. You did pretty well in the car on both these
trips, but you have decided that your don't like your carseat, unless it
is moving.
Your Aunt Alissa and Uncle Bryce came to visit this last weekend and you
got some good snuggling time in there. We just need to get you to see
your Aunt Marlise and Uncle Chris and you will have met the whole clan!
We have started to take you to church and you have done pretty well. I think you like all the music and people around. It does keep you from sleeping though :) You love to look at lights, but hate being in direct sunlight. The weather has been pretty warm, so we have been taking you on walks, which you only enjoy if your eyes are in the shade and we are out of the wind. You still love to be swaddled and sleep really well if we can get you wrapped up just right. You have been sleeping for 6-8 hours straight at night, which has been wonderful for me :) You have also been awake and happy a lot more, I can tell that you are just itching to explore the world around you. You can hold your head up pretty well on your own now and you can't wait to be able to control your arms and legs. You love your bouncy seat, so much so that we had to buy another one to leave at your grandparents, so we didn't have to bring it over every time we visited...You just started blowing bubbles yesterday, I will have to see if I can capture it on film. Arianna, you have been a joy and blessing in our lives. Being your mom has been the most fulfilling experience I have ever had. Thank you for your sweet spirit. We thank the Lord every night that you are able to be in our home. We are truly blessed that you had birth parents that loved you enough to let you be ours :)
