2014-2015 School Year

This last school year I have been running my own little homeschooling "school." Seven other families participated and we had skill levels from Kindergarten to 5th grade. I hired one of my past students to be my assistant and we had a blast. We met twice a week for 2 hours a day and went on field trips every other month. Here are some pictures from the school year...

We had our end of the year party at my assistant's farm. It has been an amazing year. I am so grateful for all the families that supported us.

Everyone, me included, has grown so much this year. I am excited for next year!

St. Louis/Grants Farm Trip

We went to St. Louis this weekend. We celebrated by birthday with my family, went to the temple and enjoyed a trip to Grants Farm. The weather was great, just a had a little rain at the end :)

I think Charlie was jealous that we left her to go feed goats, so she wanted to prove to us that she could be just as fun as a goat...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
We have a new addition to our family. Her name is Charlie and she is a black lab/border collie mix. She is just over a year old and the kids love her!

We had a lot of fun coloring Easter eggs!

I love that concentration!

Easter morning lasted for about 15minutes, but the kids loved it. Ari was really good at looking for the eggs. I didn't have to just throw them on the floor like last year :)

We have had family in town, my mom came Wednesday to Saturday and Ben's parents came in Saturday to Monday. The kids love having grandparents to spoil them!
I'll leave you with a beautiful Easter Message:

Holiday Catch up

I don't know why it has been so difficult for me to blog, but it has. Can you get "bloggers block"? It has been periods like this that have disrupted my journal writing in the past. I just haven't wanted to write about my life, it is enough to live it, do I have to put it on paper too? But, the other night my kids wanted to see pictures, they wanted to hear their "Gotcha" stories and I was able to pull it all up for them here...So, I need to have this for them and for me.
Thanksgiving:
We spent Thanksgiving up in St. Louis. We had dinner on Wednesday with my dad and then Thursday with my mom. Deven helped peal the potatoes, he was in heaven :) Ari had a blast playing with Aunt Sisi and Aunt Skylar.
It was a little difficult for Deven to be away from his biological siblings but we embraced our family traditions and hopefully it will help him to feel more at home next time.
